University Mascot

The Brief

Originally tasked with creating an original mascot, pivoted to how to best leverage the falcon as the mascot for NU. My partner Coby and I created a backstory, identity and overall look for this falcon that felt relevant to NU's community and values.

Meet, Navi!

While the (peregrine) falcon is the mascot form, the identity and spirit is a navigator. Navigator represents the common identity that connects the NU community. To reinforce 'navigator' and make our mascot ownable to NU, we've equipped Navi with a wardrobe that readies them for any journey. Navi made their debut during NU's 2023 commencement.
